
Sinead Ryan
Sinead has worked as a print and broadcast journalist for 14 years and writes on consumer, personal finance and property matters.
She writes four columns each week in the Irish Independent and Herald newspapers along with contributing Op-Eds and features on social, financial and property themes.
Sinead is the Consumer expert on RTE 1 Radio’s “Today with Sean O’Rourke” show and Newstalk’s ‘Drive’ along with being in demand on programmes such as Claire Byrne Live, Primetime, Tonight with Vincent Browne, Matt Cooper’s Last Word and TV3s Ireland AM where she has a regular “What it says in the Papers” slot.
In 2016 Sinead co-presented RTEs “My Money and Me”, a six part television series.
She is an experienced MC, conference host, interviewer and keynote speaker, mainly on business and financial topics. Clients include the Irish Association of Pension Funds, AIB, IBEC, Temple Bar Political Festival, Kilkenomics and Senior Times Over-50s conferences.
Working with selected PR companies, Sinead provides media training for corporate spokes-people about pitching and radio/TV strategy. She works on voice, tone and pitch training with individual, or groups.
Prior to her media career, she worked in financial services for 15 years after qualifying as a financial adviser. She also holds diplomas in Journalism and Economics.
In 2009 Sinead set up a not-for-profit organisation teaching teenagers about budgeting and personal finance. Her book, co-written with Frank Conway, ‘Cents and Sensibility’, was published in 2010.
Sinead was appointed to the Pensions Council, a Government Advisory Board by Tanaiste Joan Burton TD in January 2015.
