A highly sought-after actor, comedian and singer he is also a uniquely gifted mimic, writer and a hugely entertaining after-dinner speaker and MC. In the challenging times of Covid, his hilarious mimic of Professor Luke O’Neill offers a much needed light hearted view on coping through the panademic!
Risteárd has vast experience in hosting and speaking at corporate, conference and sports events, consistently delivering topical, relevant, funny and intelligent material for a growing number of clients.
For nearly twenty years Risteárd has co-written and performed with comedy institution Après Match which has produced hundreds of TV sketches, multiple “sold-out” live shows, several chart-topping DVD’s and the recently IFTA nominated satirical documentary Après Match Election Special and two series of Après Match of the Day (also IFTA nominated).
Risteárd will shortly start filming the second series of ‘Delicious’ in which he stars with Dawn French and Emilia Fox for Sky 1. Recently he appeared in Channel 4’s smash hit comedy-drama No Offence, ITV’s The Suspicions of Mr Whicher and will soon be seen in a new 6-part thriller Acceptable Risk for RTE.
In theatre he has performed lead roles in all the major theatres in Ireland, most recently starring at the Gate in the musical ‘Jacques Brel is Alive & Well & Living in Paris‘ also ‘The Weir‘ (West End), Juno & the Paycock (National Theatre, London) and in Pygmalion at the Abbey Theatre.
