Rebecca Tallon de Havilland

Rebecca is the first transgender woman in Ireland and the first person to hold an Irish passport in their reassigned gender. Rebecca’s brave and eventful journey has paved the way for others to live their life as their true selves and the appetite for her story just keeps growing.

Rebecca wears many professional hats. Having started her career as a sought after hairstylist for fashion shoots, the Eurovision song contest, and celebrity clients, she then went on to own and operate Tallon Model Agency (now Assets) in the 80’s and 90’s. Since writing her biography in the well-received book ‘His Name is Rebecca’, she is now a sought after public speaker and has spoken at various events all over Europe with the Terrence Higgins Trust.

Rebecca returned to Ireland in 2022 and is currently working with HIV Ireland on raising awareness on HIV in trans people. Rebecca was the first person to be the Grand Marshall of both Dublin Pride 2022 and the Dublin Pride float of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2022.

Rebecca has roles with the HSE and 56 Dean Street as a Peer Support Worker, HIV Awareness campaigner and founder of Project Bootcamp for trans Women.

Rebecca has been a keynote speaker at events forHiuse of lords at Westminster Palace , Barclaycard, Gilead Science, Trinity College Dublin, Mastercard and PWC to name a few.

This remarkable life story is so interesting in itself, but the added charm and wit of Rebecca’s delivery in her various interviews really hits the mark with viewers, listeners and readers – particularly her interview on the Petty Little Things podcast, Ireland AM, The Miriam O’Callaghan Show and as cover girl for GCN magazine.

Most recently, Rebecca has been Grand Marshall for Dublin Pride, at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. As a result of her role she has been running the media circuit, appearing on television, radio and the front cover of The Sunday Independent. Since her return to Dublin, Rebecca has been inundated with requests for interviews on podcasts as well as appearances and talks to discuss Trans rights, HIV activism and her illustrious career. Rebecca is a true trailblazer, with a remarkable story, delivered with wit and humility and is guaranteed to be a hit with audiences.

On Rebecca’ hugely successful TV show ‘Second Chances’ she helps individuals who have hit rock bottom to find their better selves.
