
Damien O’Reilly
Dublin born Damien O’Reilly has worked as a broadcaster for RTE Radio since 1998. He presents the award winning programme Countrywide every Saturday morning which has a listenership of 200,000 and is among the top 20 most listened to programmes on Irish radio.
Damien also is a regular stand in presenter on other flagship Radio 1 shows including Liveline, Drivetime and Today with Sean O’Rourke. He has also worked at two Olympic Games, Beijing (2008) and Rio (2016) and he will be again part of the RTE Sport team going to Tokyo 2020.
Damien has won many awards for his broadcasting and journalism over the years including being named the PPI Speech Broadcaster of the year in 2015. He is a founder member and current committee member of the European Network of Agricultural Journalists and he writes a weekly opinion column for the Irish Farmers Journal. Damien has also reported regularly on agricultural matters for BBC radio.
