Colm Boohig is a broadcaster. He presents Off The Ball Breakfast, Ireland’s only sports breakfast show, alongside Ger Gilroy. He has a twice-weekly live sports slot on The Pat Kenny Show on Newstalk.
Beyond sports broadcasting, Colm also does film, TV, podcast and tech-related content on major radio shows like The Ray Foley Show on Today FM, Lunchtime Live on Newstalk and Tech Talk with Jess Kelly on Newstalk. Colm joined Off The Ball in February 2019 as the Digital Editor, starting the transformation of Off The Ball’s digital output, leading to Off The Ball’s first win as Best Online Publisher at the Digital Spider Awards, before becoming Senior Producer, quickly transitioning to on-air producer and then host of Off The Ball Breakfast.
Colm has covered major sporting events such as the Olympic Games, the Rugby and Football World Cups, and the All-Ireland finals, interviewing the biggest names in sport en route.
Previously, Colm worked as a video journalist with Storyful, leading the Storyful Blog department by interviewing the biggest online content creators. Prior to Storyful, Colm worked as a digital journalist for JOE.ie, interviewing figures from the world of entertainment and beyond. Colm has written think-pieces and feature articles with The Irish Examiner and TheJournal.ie.
