Bernard O’Shea

BIO

Bernard O’Shea, from Durrow, County Laois, is one of Ireland’s best-known comedians and broadcasters. He wrote and performed for Today FM, iRadio, and 2FM, before making his mark on TV with RTÉ’s The Republic of Telly. He went on to co-write and star in the hit sitcom Bridget & Eamon and more recently appeared in Marty and Bernard’s Big Adventure. A stand-up comedian since 2000, Bernard has performed at major festivals in Montreal and Edinburgh and featured on shows such as Dancing with the Stars, The Panel, and The Late Late Show. His first book, My Wife is Married to a Feckin Ejit, captures his trademark wit.

Bernard has lent his voice and creative talents to national campaigns for Vodafone, Lidl, the National Lottery, McDonald’s and many other clients. A natural live performer, Bernard regularly hosts festivals, award shows, and delivers, engaging after-dinner sets at corporate events across Ireland.
